National health reforms a prescription for poor health in

The Campaign for Care of Older Australians (CCOA) is concerned that the Federal Government and members of COAG have not started the process to address fundamental reforms needed in aged care.

“The Prime Minister has been at pains to stress that the national health reforms were a once in a generation opportunity to deliver better health and hospitals for all Australians,” CCOA said.

 

Questions unanswered for Aged Care Sector following COAG

Queensland’s peak industry body Aged Care Queensland (ACQ) says today’s COAG meeting has left many questions unanswered in relation to desperately needed reform to the Aged Care Sector in Australia.

ACQ CEO Anton Kardash said that government leaders had missed an important opportunity to commit to the structural reforms required to deliver the sector from crisis.
