In order to support its member services, ACQ operates two commercial divisions:

AGED CARE QUEENSLAND EDUCATION INSTITUTE

The Aged Care Queensland Education Institute (ACQEI), an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is the leading provider of training and education to the aged and community care industry. The ACQEI provides flexible, nationally recognised vocational courses to members as well as non-members of the industry peak body in Queensland, ACQ, in both face to face and open learning mode. ACQEI has been providing high quality courses and educational products to clients for more than five years.

ACQEI offers a variety of educational services to all levels of staff employed in member organisations of the Association, as well as to those people interested in obtaining qualifications in the aged and community care industry. These services include specific training packages and courses in aged care and community care designed to address the educational needs of all categories of aged care and clinical personnel. In addition to these formal training packages, the ACQEI offers a variety of seminars, lectures, workshops and other educational activities to accommodate the multidisciplinary needs of personnel. ACQEI’s qualified staff can offer comprehensive educational services to its clients.

ACQ Education Institute - Goals 

1. To encourage member organisations to identify educational needs
2. To provide member organisations with appropriate educational resources, services and programs to address identified educational needs
3. To lobby Government and other bodies in order to facilitate the provision of appropriate human and physical resources that address educational needs within the aged and community care industry
4. To monitor and evaluate the availability and appropriateness of resources in relation to the extent and types of programs offered
5. To formulate an annual strategic plan and review as necessary

The ACQEI aims to offer its students the best training available and to ensure that the training received meets the students needs. The ACQEI will make every effort to ensure students are provided with a professional and effective learning environment.
If participants are seeking employment, especially in the aged and community care industry , the ACQEI is the provider of choice to this industry and is fast expanding into other related industries. The ACQEI has extensive links with business and industry which ensures the Institute's courses provide the knowledge and skills employers are seeking.
If participants are already in employment, then the ACQEI is able to offer a range of training options to fit employment and family commitments. The ACQEI is proud of the way in which it supports part-time students, and is continually striving to improve the level of service delivery.
