A workshop/short course will be confirmed to proceed at least 7 working days prior to its scheduled starting date.  The ACQEI reserves the right to cancel an event if minimum numbers are not met; in this instance a full refund or transfer of money to another event of the same value is available.  The ACQEI recommends that participants do not make any travel arrangements until such time as the workshop/short course has been confirmed to proceed.  The ACQEI will not be liable for any other associated costs such as accommodation or travel costs including flights incurred by participants.

Workshop/short course registration is only confirmed when full payment has been received from the participant.  All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing.

If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the workshop/short course, the following refunds will apply:

• The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop/short course (in which they are registered) giving at least 1 working days notice in writing to the ACQEI at no charge
• If notice is received 7 working days or less from the scheduled starting date, no refund will be offered
• If notice is received 8 working days or more from the scheduled starting date, a 50% refund will be offered

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the written notification having been received by the ACQEI.

Special Consideration

A refund may be available to participants unable to attend a training event for compassionate or compelling reasons which may include death in the family of parents, siblings, spouse or children or declared natural disaster affecting the participant’s place of residence.  In these cases, fees may be refunded less a 10% administration fee.  All applications will be treated in strict confidence on a case by case basis and must be accompanied by all relevant certified supporting documentation.

Organisation

A training event will be confirmed to proceed on receipt of the signed Training Proposal.

In the event that the dates scheduled in the Training Proposal are cancelled due to either, fault by the ACQEI or natural disaster, new dates will be arranged and any monies paid to the ACQEI from your organisation will be retained and diverted to the new scheduled booking dates.

If an organisation chooses to cancel or change their confirmed training event, the following refunds will apply:

• If notice is received 7 working days or less from the scheduled starting date, a fee of 75% of the quoted amount will be charged
• If notice is received 8 working days or more from the scheduled starting date, an administration  fee of $300 will be charged

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the written notification having been received by the ACQEI.
