Industry Scholarship for Study and Travel
A new aged care scholarship program has been launched to support staff members who wish to study and travel to gain new experiences in aged care.
New National Partner Provider Assist (formerly Aged Care Specialists) are offering a funded study and travel program. Under the Provider Assist National Scholarship program, six state scholarships and a national scholarship worth $50,000 will be made available each year. The winners of the state prizes will receive a state scholarship to the value of $2,500 including registration, travel and accommodation to the state conference or equivalent event, $1,000 voucher to be used with the State Industry body (to use towards training, attending workshops or seminars), a trophy, plaque and eligibility to win the national scholarship.
The national winner will receive a scholarship to the value of $35,000 including registration, travel and accommodation to attend ACSA’s 2011 National Conference in Sydney, as well as international travel to the 2 week SAGE Tour, USA in October including attendance at IAHSA Conference, education, training and meeting with key international leaders in aged care. The national winner will also receive a trophy and plaque.
The first Queensland winner will be announced at the 2011 ACQ State Conference from 23-25 March, Jupiters, Gold Coast.
Provider Assist are specialists in aged care funding maximisation, offering two core services-ACFI Max and Non-Care Funding Review- to service providers.
