Announcements are imminent on outstanding funding rounds from 2009-10 along with confirmation of the 2010-11 growth funding via direct allocation. The Department of Health & Ageing yesterday advised that two funding packages have been signed but we await the joint media announcement that precedes formal notification to successful service providers.  This should be welcome news to many members who have been waiting for outcomes from minor capital, case management/care coordination and those keen to operationalise promised growth funding for this financial year. There appears to be a further funding package still to be finalised which would include the promoting functional independence pilot funding and other initiatives.
