Member, ACQ Board; General Manager, Berlasco Court Caring Centre

Athena is General Manager of Berlasco Court Caring Centre, a facility focused on delivering care services to those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Athena’s close involvement in a number of government and industry advisory committees and action groups has given her an intimate understanding of the importance of looking nationally at aged care issues and acting locally to achieve tangible results to resolve and champion these issues.

She has recently been a Member of the ACQ Council and Education Advisory Committee, and since 2004, she has been the Chair of the CALD Network Group.

Athena’s active involvement in the nursing, health and aged care sectors, as well as her role as Vice President of the Nurses in Management Aged Care (NIMAC), has given her the opportunity to make a meaningful contribute to industry change and growth.
